SEOReading reports

SEO in your Howbuilt report (without the jargon wall)

How to read the SEO section of a teardown: signals we infer, limits of automated checks, and what to verify yourself before you ship.

What “SEO” means on a single-URL report

Howbuilt looks at what is visible from the public page and common technical signals (titles, headings, meta tags, structured data hints, and similar). It is a learning-oriented snapshot, not a replacement for Search Console, log analysis, or a full-site crawl.

Treat strong claims with curiosity: ranking depends on queries, competition, backlinks, and freshness—none of which a single URL visit can fully capture.

How to use this tab in your growth loop

Pick one competitor or product you admire, run a report, and copy the checklist items you understand into your own backlog. Re-run after you change templates, routing, or content blocks to see what moved.

When you are ready for deeper work, pair the tab with official docs for your framework’s metadata APIs and with Google’s own guidelines—use Howbuilt to notice gaps, not to “prove” rank.
